The "attractive" rooms are "a little small" (and maybe even "gloomy") at this "art deco mid-rise", but the "perfect" location within walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops and the "fabulous" restoration of the building earn raves; on the "edge of a huge revitalization project" Downtown, it offers a "spacious, comfortable lounge", a new fitness center and a "courteous" staff that make regulars "definitely" want to "stay there again."

Location and old style charm.
This is an old hotel that has been kept in tip top shape. Modern sprinkler system fast elevators, all the room electronics with classic looks and charm.

The location was perfect for downtown, beautiful lobby.
The hallways and front access were loud all night.
We were disappointed with the room decor. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were awoken at 11 pm, 3 am and again at 7 am from noises in the hall and out the front facing window.

Beautiful accommodations, perfect location, comfy beds.
Rooms were smaller than expected, bathroom was tiny, no pool.
The only downfall would be the size of the rooms. Since the hotel was built in 1925, the rooms seem small and there isn't a pool on property. However, the rooms were decorated nicely and the smaller space seems to take a backseat to all the other pro's of the hotel. I'd definitely stay at the Westin Poinsett again. ...read more

The bed was great.
Not much to the room, other than the bed and bathroom.
Great location. Helpful staff. Very comfortable. Hotel lacks some common amenities that most hotels, for the same price, seem to have.
